About Keith Trumbo

Clean, graphic and compelling is the best way to describe the photography of Keith Trumbo, be it a portrait or still life, a moment in time or a planned scene in black and white or in color.

Trumbo started in London where he worked with renowned photographer, Barry Lategan. He then came to America and became Studio Manager for the legendary Irving Penn handling Mr. Penn's shoots around the world before going out on his own.

His work has appeared in magazines from Vogue and Vanity Fair to Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Esquire, and in books, including "Hollywood Costume,"  his dramatic lighting interpretation of Diana Vreeland's fashion exhibit for The Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute.

Currently based in New York City, Trumbo would like to honour the vision, contribution and friendship of the photographers with whom he apprenticed: Barry Bullough, Tony Cleal, Barry Lategan in the UK and Bill King, Henry Wolf and Irving Penn in the USA.
